Jack’s Legacy is about so much more than helping people struggling with addiction in finding hope

It’s a way to carry on the charisma and vibrancy of a son, a brother, and a friend. Jack was well loved by his family and friends. His passing left a void that can never be filled. His life and his character will live on in the beauty that will come from Jack’s Legacy.

We believe in connection and healing.

We believe that there is always hope to be had and that our farm and animals can be a bridge to understanding.
Through our equine-assisted services, individuals will have an opportunity to connect with themselves, others, and horses.

Jack’s Legacy was formed in early 2022 in honor of Jack Benson. On October 30, 2018 Jack suddenly passed away from a drug overdose at age 24, leaving his family and friends devastated.

Soon after his passing, his mother Pam Benson was inspired to help those who struggle with substance abuse. The following year Pam was connected with Robin Gwin, a Licensed Social Worker who had interest in providing equine assisted counseling services at Benson Oaks Farm.

The timing of their connection and mutual vision to help others through horses made it apparent that Pam and Robin were meant to work together. .
